BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The first mandatory level of the ACUC Training Ladder. Theory and practical course that lasts around 25 and 30 hours, depending on the number of students in the course, and that teaches candidates to safely scuba dive, providing them, upon sucesfully completing the course, with the ACUC internationally recognised certification of "Open Water Diver".

APPROXIMATE COST

The cost of the courses can vary according to the Club, Center or Instructor and according to what is included within the course.

The more expensive courses normally include things such as a student training kit, diver insurance, the cost of the medical checkout and the hotel stay in the place of the open water tests.

Also, the price of the courses is influenced by the number of students. Normally, courses with more students tend to be more economic, while private or semi private courses logically are more expensive.
