DESCRIPTION

Theory and Practical course that covers topics of diving pedagogy techniques, teaching the candidate how to teach and evaluate all diver level courses and the Divemaster level.

PREREQUISITES

  • Be at least 19 years old.
  • Be an ACUC Divemaster or equivalent or an ACUC Entry Level Instructor or equivalent and have a minimum of 140 dives (70 hours bottom time).

DURATION

If the candidates are Divemasters: Approximately between 70 and 75 hours.

If the candidates are Entry Level Instructor: Approximately between 25 and 35 hours, depending on wether the candidates are already ACUC or not.

REQUIREMENTS TO OBTAIN THE CERTIFICATION

To pass satisfactorily:

FINAL QUALIFICATIONS

Third Instructor Level.

This course trains the candidate to work as an Instructor, teaching and supervising divers on and under the water, in any Club, School or Diving Center and to give diving classes and certifiy up to the Divemaster level and teach, but not certify, the course of Assistant Instructor.

The candidate can also offer certain specialty courses.


This course can be taught by any ACUC Instructor Trainer or higher level, but must be evaluated and certified by an ACUC Instructor Evaluator
