DESCRIPTION

Optional Certification.

Theory course or obtained experience that covers topics of diving pedagogy techniques, teaching the candidate how to evaluate the Entry Level Instructor and how to teach the Instructor course.

PREREQUISITES

  • Be at least 22 years old.
  • Be an ACUC Advanced Instructor for at least 6 months
  • Although ACUC Advanced Instructors do not have to train divers exclusively with ACUC, they must have shown in past history a major and preferential involvement with ACUC over other training agencies.
  • It is mandatory to be Instructor of the following ACUC or recognised by ACUC specialties: First Aid, Oxygenation, Night Diving, Wreck Diving and U/W Orientation Diving, plus at least other two specialties of the candidate's preference.

DURATION

The candidates should attend, as observers, two evaluations of Entry Level Instructors and two full ACUC Open Water Instructor courses. Therefore, an exact duration can not be fixed and is normal that this is done over an undefined period of time, depending on the disponibility of the candidate and of the courses.

REQUIREMENTS TO OBTAIN THE CERTIFICATION

FINAL QUALIFICATIONS

Optional Certification.

This course trains the candidate to work as Instructor, teaching and supervising divers on and under the water, in any Club, School or Diving Center and to give diving classes and certify up to the level of Entry Level Instructor and to teach, but not certify, the Instructor course.

The candidate can also offer certain specialty courses.
